Welcome to Sandtime.io: first setup checklist
If you are setting up Sandtime.io for the first time, the fastest path is:
- Create or join the correct organization.
- Add the projects people will report time against.

Reportsand save one or two views you expect to use often.
The checklist you see in the app
A numbered welcome checklist appears on your dashboard, and what it contains depends on your role. You can dismiss it once you are set up.
Administrators get seven items:
- Set up a custom subdomain for your organization.
- Invite more people to your organization.
- Create your first project to organize your workflow.
- Create and set up your reports for invoicing, payments, or monitoring your team members' working hours.
- Integrate Sandtime.io into your Slack workspace so people can track time without switching context.
- Update organization settings to use the proper currency and time zone.
- Find more solutions and tips on the help page.
Users get six, aimed at their own setup rather than the organization’s:
- Report the amount of time it took you to sign in, using timesheets.
- See the projects you participate in.
- Update time tracking settings to suit how you work.
- Customize notifications so you get the messages that help.
- Upload a profile picture and set up your profile.
- Find more solutions and tips on the help page.
Separately, Settings has a Setup assistant section. That one is Administrator-only, so if you joined an existing organization as a User and cannot find it, that is why.
