Working Days Calculator

Free working days calculator: count the business days between two dates, excluding weekends and a country’s 2026 public holidays.

Choose the dates

Pick a start and end date, then a country. Both dates are included, and the country’s 2026 public holidays in the range are subtracted automatically.

Weekend days104
Public holidays11

Working days are weekdays minus the selected country’s 2026 public holidays that fall on a weekday. Weekends are Saturday and Sunday.

How working days are counted

The calculator counts every day from the start to the end date, including both, then removes Saturdays and Sundays to get weekdays. Subtracting the 2026 public holidays for the country you choose leaves the working days.

Use it to plan deadlines, leave, and delivery dates. Sandtime.io then records the hours actually worked on those days, so plans and reality line up.

Working day questions

Are the start and end dates counted?

Both. The range is inclusive, so Monday to Friday counts as five days rather than four. Pick the same date twice to check a single day.

Does a public holiday on a weekend reduce the count?

No. A holiday landing on a Saturday or Sunday changes nothing, because that day was already outside the working week. Only holidays that fall on a weekday reduce the total.

Which days count as the weekend?

Saturday and Sunday. If your team works a different week, read the weekday figure and adjust that instead of the working-day total.

Where do the public holidays come from?

Choosing a country subtracts its 2026 public holidays that fall inside the range. Company days off and regional observances are not included, so take those off separately.

Can I use this to plan billable capacity?

As a ceiling, yes: working days times the hours in your standard day. What a project actually consumes is a different number, and only a time record shows it.
