Planning working hours for 2027?
Each country guide includes monthly hours, holidays and a 2027 preview to help plan next year.
Working hours 2027 in Poland · Count working days between two datesHow many working hours are there in a year?
Start with the employee’s actual working weekdays, remove only the holidays that apply to that workplace, then multiply the remaining days by the scheduled hours. The comparison above starts with 261 Monday-to-Friday days in each year. Poland uses a separate statutory calculation that also reduces hours for holidays on Saturdays.
Why do country calendars show different totals?
A holiday may apply nationwide, in one region, to federal employees or only to a specific institution. Germany’s regional holidays, Canadian provincial rules and US private-employer policies change the answer for a particular team. India’s institutional reference and Thailand’s bank calendar must be checked against the employer’s own calendar.
Does a 35-hour week mean France has fewer calendar working days?
No. The length of the working day and the number of available weekdays are different inputs. The default eight-hour comparison keeps daily hours equal to show the calendar effect. Select seven hours to model a five-day, 35-hour planning week, then check the French guide for statutory hours, annualization and RTT.
Are planned hours the same as billable hours?
No. Annual leave, training, internal meetings and non-billable work reduce the time available for client delivery. For a project budget, subtract known absences first, reserve time for internal work, then compare the estimate with recorded hours during delivery. A calendar total alone does not measure productivity or employee attendance.
How should an international team plan a shared deadline?
- Open each country guide and confirm the workplace region, employer coverage and substitute-day rules.
- Use the monthly table for the delivery period. Adjust working weekdays and daily hours in each country calculator.
- Add personal leave and company closures to the schedule. Check overlapping holidays before promising a shared handover date.
