About Sandtime.io
Sandtime.io is a free time tracking app for freelancers, agencies, and client-service teams. It is built and used daily by Sanddev, a software development agency from Wrocław, Poland.
Why Sandtime.io exists
Sanddev has been building software for other companies since 2016. Like every agency, it bills clients for hours - and every month those hours had to be complete, accurate, and approved before a single invoice could go out.
The tools available in 2020 forced a bad choice: either surveillance-style trackers with screenshots and activity scoring that no self-respecting developer wants installed, or spreadsheets and end-of-month memory archaeology. So Sanddev built its own tracker - one based on trust, where people self-report their time and the system takes care of reminders, approvals, and locking.
That internal tool became Sandtime.io. It has been serving teams worldwide since 2020, it is free for unlimited users, and Sanddev is still its own most demanding customer - every Sanddev invoice starts as a Sandtime.io timesheet.
