Why Sandtime.io exists
Sanddev has been building software for other companies since 2016. Like every agency, it bills clients for hours - and every month those hours had to be complete, accurate, and approved before a single invoice could go out.
The tools available in 2020 forced a bad choice: either surveillance-style trackers with screenshots and activity scoring that no self-respecting developer wants installed, or spreadsheets and end-of-month memory archaeology. So Sanddev built its own tracker - one based on trust, where people self-report their time and the system takes care of reminders, approvals, and locking.
That internal tool became Sandtime.io. It has been serving teams worldwide since 2020, it is free for unlimited users, and Sanddev is still its own most demanding customer - every Sanddev invoice starts as a Sandtime.io timesheet.

Łukasz Sienkiewicz is the founder and CEO of Sandtime.io. He has spent 20 years managing projects, programs, and portfolios, including program streams for Nokia and Microsoft. He studied software engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology and earned a PhD at Wrocław University of Economics with a dissertation on relationships in agile software development.
He holds the full IPMA certification path (Levels D, C, and B), is a Certified Scrum Master and an authorized IPMA Polska trainer, and has assessed project managers as an IPMA 4-L-C assessor since 2019. He has served on the IPMA Polska board and the IPMA International Ethics Committee, has sat on the IPMA Polska Audit Committee since November 2025, and received the Atlas Project Management award in 2024. He has published more than 11 peer-reviewed papers and trains teams at dynamikarozwoju.pl.
