Can deleted activities be recovered?

No. Deleting an activity removes it immediately and permanently. Sandtime.io has no trash, no undo, and no per-entry restore, so a deleted entry cannot be brought back, and support cannot retrieve one for you either.

The confirmation dialog says so before anything happens: This will permanently delete the activity. This action cannot be undone. Choose Keep whenever you are not certain.

Where the details may still exist

Check these before retyping the entry from memory:

  • Your email, if Activity deleted notifications are turned on. The message names the activity, the project it belonged to, who deleted it, and the day it started, which is usually everything you need to enter it again. This notification stays off until you turn it on in Settings, under Notifications.
  • Reports you exported earlier. An exported timesheet keeps its rows exactly as they were at the moment you exported it.

Enter the activity again

Once you have the date, start time, end time, and project, add the entry from Timesheets the same way you would add any manual entry. See Edit or delete a time entry.

Prevent the next one

  • Lock periods once they are settled. Entries inside a locked timesheet period cannot be deleted at all: the deletion is refused rather than confirmed. See Locking and unlocking timesheets.
  • Turn on Activity deleted notifications so that every deletion leaves something you can read afterwards.

Deletion behaves the same way through the REST API and the MCP server. The entry is removed permanently, after the same permission and lock checks.
