Is Sandtime.io free?

Yes. Sandtime.io is free for unlimited users. There are no seat limits, no per-user fees, and no credit card required to get started.

What is included

The free plan includes:

  • Time tracking with a built-in timer and manual entry
  • Unlimited team members - add as many people as you need
  • Timesheets, approvals, and locking
  • Reports, project visibility, and cost tracking

Where is the catch

There is no seat count to manage, no trial clock counting down, and nothing that switches off later. There is also no billing to set up: no plan to pick, no invoice, and nothing to cancel.

Free does not mean monitored

Your records can leave with you

Reports export to Excel and CSV, and a REST API pulls the same records programmatically, so the data stays yours whatever happens to the price. See Print or export itemized reports for the export steps and the API reference for the programmatic route.

Future premium plans

Optional paid tiers are planned for teams with heavier workflow and reporting needs, and they have no announced timeline. When they arrive, the core time tracking product will remain free. Per-seat pricing is not part of any planned model.
