Delete an organization or account

Sandtime.io lets you remove an organization and also delete an account, but these actions serve different purposes. Deleting an organization removes an entire workspace; deleting an account removes one person from it.

Delete an organization

  1. Open Settings and select Organization.
  2. Scroll to the Delete organization section at the bottom of the page.
  3. Select Delete organization and confirm in the dialog.

The confirmation dialog offers Delete and Keep, so closing it or choosing Keep leaves everything untouched.

This permanently removes the organization and all related resources, including activities, projects, members, and uploaded media. It cannot be undone.

Delete an account

Delete an account when one person should be removed, not the whole workspace.

  1. Open Settings, select Organization, then Members.
  2. Choose the member to remove.
  3. Scroll to the Delete account section and confirm.

This deletes that user’s activity, project membership, and rate entries.

Which one do I need?

  • Someone left the team. Delete their account. The organization, its projects, and everyone else’s records stay as they are.
  • The whole workspace is finished. Delete the organization. Removing members one at a time does not remove the workspace itself.
  • You want a copy first. Export what you need before either action. Reports export to xlsx and CSV, and neither deletion is reversible.

Important

Both actions are destructive and cannot be undone. Review them carefully before confirming, and take any export you need beforehand.
