How to change your email address

Your email address is locked and cannot be changed from settings. There is no self-service way to change it yet.

Why it is locked

Your email address is how you sign in, so we change it manually after confirming that you own both the old and the new address.

Administrators cannot change it either. On a member profile every other field opens up for whoever has the right to edit it, while the email field stays read-only for everyone, including an administrator editing a teammate.

What you need

You need access to both inboxes:

  • your current (old) email address,
  • the new email address you want to use.

If you cannot access both, we cannot make the change.

What stays the same

Your account is not recreated. Sandtime.io identifies you by an internal account reference rather than by your address, so your time entries, projects, reports, and role stay exactly where they are, and teammates keep seeing the same person in timesheets and reports.

If you work in more than one organization

Each organization is a separate workspace with its own member list, so your address is stored once per organization. Name every organization you use Sandtime.io in and we change the address in all of them, otherwise the old address stays in the ones we were not told about. If you are not sure which ones you belong to, see switching organizations or workspaces.

Contact us

Email us or open the chat. Write from your current address while you still can, which settles half the verification before we ask. Tell us the new address you want to use, and we will verify the change and migrate your address for you.
