How to Show or Hide Projects in Sandtime.io Timesheets

Timesheets show a row for every project you belong to. If you log time to only a few of them in a given week, you can hide the rest: open Timesheets, click Filters (top right of the grid), and turn off the projects you do not need. Sandtime.io remembers the choice, so the grid stays narrowed in the weeks that follow.

  1. Open Timesheets from the main navigation.
  2. Click Filters.
  3. Under Projects, turn off each project you want to hide.

The count next to Projects tells you how many projects are shown out of all of them, for example 5 of 72.

Find a project by name

When you have more than eight projects, a search field appears above the list. Type any part of a project's name - upper or lower case does not matter - and the list narrows to the projects that match. If none do, the panel says so.

Show or hide many projects at once

Select all shows every project in the list and Deselect all hides every one. While a search is typed in, the buttons read Select matching and Deselect matching and act only on the projects that match it.

To keep only this week's projects on screen, click Deselect all, then turn those few back on, or search for each one and click Select matching.

What does hiding a project change?

Only the rows on your screen. Time reported to a hidden project is not deleted or changed, and reports are not affected. The selection is saved in the browser or app where you made it, so another device keeps its own, and your teammates' timesheets do not change.

Archived projects stay out of the list unless you turn on Show archived projects, which appears in Filters when any of your projects is archived.

Projects vs activities: what is the difference?

An activity is a single time entry belonging to one person. A project groups activities and carries the billable default, the member list, and the rates.
