How do I export daily timesheets for each member?
One custom report gives you every member's hours for every day of a date range, and you can export it to Excel or CSV in one click. Set it up once, save it, and reuse it whenever someone asks for per-day hours.
Set up the report
- Open Reports and choose Create new report. The new report opens straight away.
- Choose Edit.
- Open Date range and pick the days you need, for example This month or a Start date and End date of your own.
- Under Group by, add Member first and Year-Month-Day second.
- Under Metrics, add Reported time and Billable time.
- Choose Save.

The report now shows one block per member, with a row for each day that person logged time and a total at the bottom of the block.
Export it
Choose Export to Excel or Export to CSV under the report. The file is one flat table with a column for the member, a column for the day, and one column per metric, so every row is one member on one day. Days are written as YYYY-MM-DD, which sorts and filters cleanly in a spreadsheet.
In the Excel file the hours are real time values, so SUM adds them up without any conversion. CSV is the better choice when the file goes into a payroll or billing tool rather than a spreadsheet.
With Hide empty rows on, as it is by default, days on which a member logged no time have no row. Turn the switch off above the report table before exporting when the person reading the file needs every calendar day listed, empty ones included.
Who appears in the report
An Administrator sees every member's time, so their export covers the whole organization. A User sees their own time plus what teammates reported to the projects they share, so their export covers only that. See member visibility for the details.
Variations
- To export one person only, add them under Members in the report filters.
- To compare people side by side on each day, put Year-Month-Day first and Member second.
- To split each day by project, add Project as a third dimension.
- For a fixed 14-day payroll window, see Report hours for a two-week pay period.
See Create and customize reports for everything else a report can hold, and Print or export itemized reports for printing and line-by-line exports.
